IMPORTANT NOTE: If you ever meet your heros try not to come off as a completly fanical lunatic.
Made this in 2010 for the Flaming Lips. I remember the day well...as I ran as fast as I could towards Wayne Coyne with an orange briefcase yelling "WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".... I'm really surprised I didn't get tackled by security. I know I looked like a complete lunatic via Steven Drozd huge mirrored sunglasses. Then Wayne replied with what has to be one of the amazing statements ever directed towards me..."This is really cool! Stay right here, I'll be right back...I gotta talk to our laser guy.." But yeah met Wayne, Steven, and Kliph they were all really cool and down to Earth. Wayne took people back stage after the show and signed things and stopped and had personal like..20 to 30min conversations with people...but yeah..wish I wouldn't have acted like a lunatic....

THE DIN DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE

-Din: noise, esp. loud, confused, or dissonant noise.

-Diagnostic: using the methods of or yielding a diagnosis

Heavily circuit bent voice changer and electronic toy drum (I have recently removed the electronic toy drum circuit and added more bends to the voice changer.) Housed in heavy duty metal MAKITA tool box. Custom medical collage finish. Works well as small battery powered lofi amp and FX pedal.

CONTROLS:
-Heavy Duty ON/OFF switch with red cover
-3 Way Switch (Clean,FX1,FX2)
-Feedback Switch
-SPEAKER/OUTPUT BLEND (Blends between speaker and 1/4 output
-1/4 INPUT AND OUTPUT
-PITCH TUNE
-PITCH FINE TUNE (Both control the pitch of FX1 and FX2)
-5 Body Contacts (Effect Pitch/Distortion/Other)
-3 Way Brass switch with Fine Tune Controls (MIDDLE OFF, Cuts up Sound knobs adjust rate of cut up)

Worked in 2 person team with Shane Vannest (Ombot) to create the Poly-Oscillating Opto-Electronic Om-Gear for Lawrenceville's Art All Night 2011

-Om-Gear CNC milled out using SHOPBOT
-36 light sensitive oscillators controlled by chasing holiday lights
-Control BOX: Momentary button changes sequence of holiday lights
-1 light sensitive oscillator facing out from gear (Pitch changes as people approach or move around gear)
